To make your holiday weekend extra special, I've curated a collection of my favorite recipes for this occasion. Today's exclusive post is dedicated to inspiring your meals during this meaningful holiday weekend.

🍔🌭 Get ready for mouthwatering dishes that will delight your family and friends as you gather to commemorate this important day. From grilled delights to refreshing sides and irresistible desserts, we've got you covered!

Appetizers

Chips & Salsa: Grab your favorite bag of tortilla chips, this easy blender salsa is ready in 5 minutes and is sure to impress!

Crudite & Hummus: This one requires a bit more prep time, but trust me, it’s TOTALLY worth it!! Serve a big bowl of this hummus surrounded by fresh veggies and your favorite pita chips or crackers.

Buffalo Chicken Meatballs: Do you know anyone that doesn’t like buffalo chicken?? Me neither. These meatballs are quick and easy and travel well. Grab a bottle of blue cheese or ranch dressing for the perfect dip.

Salad

Potato Salad: A total BBQ staple, if you ask me. This one from Skinnytaste is light and still creamy, without all the extra calories.

Greek Pasta Salad: So versatile. Loaded with veggies and topped with a salty, greek vinaigrette.

Pesto Pasta Salad: If Greek flavors aren’t your thing, this pesto pasta salad is a perfect substitute with classic Italian flavors.

Caesar Slaw: I honestly can’t share this one enough. The recipe shows the kale Caesar slaw topped with crispy chicken - perfect for dinner. Omit the chicken for the perfect side salad that goes with everything.

Main Course

Memorial day weekend calls for all things GRILLED! I’m a hot dog, hamburger kinda girl, but if you’re looking to add some variety sausage links or patties are a great option. Grilled chicken is a summer favorite as well - I either marinate the chicken breast in Grill Mates seasoning packets or go the BBQ sauce route.

Side Dish

Baked Beans: Tangy and sweet without overdoing all the added sugar! A great prep ahead side.

Grilled Veggies: This is something you can prep ahead and throw on one side of the grill in a grill basket. I like to cut up zucchini, yellow squash, red onion, an assortment of bell peppers, and even asparagus - choose your favorites! Toss the cut veggies in some olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. It’s a light, healthy side that isn’t a salad 😀

Dessert

Almond Cake w/Fresh Berries: A delicious gluten-free option, topped with red and blue berries - perfect for the occasion.

Red, White and Blueberry Trifle: My all-time favorite, summer dessert!!

Chocolate Chips Cookies: I have not found a better recipe than this one right here from @grossypelosi. These cookies are perfection and make the perfect grab-and-go treat.
