As the back-to-school season approaches, we are bombarded with endless lists and marketing campaigns urging us to stock up on school supplies. But let's take a step back and think about what we really need. Perhaps last year's backpacks are still in great shape, and if the school supplies list hasn't arrived yet, do we really need to rush into buying everything? In this blog post, I'll focus on just the basics and maybe a few things you haven’t tried yet. Here's a list of 10 Amazon finds for elementary school kids.

  1. Backpack - 15 color/pattern options. I love the laptop compartment!

  1. Lunch Bag - 20 color/pattern options. I love the separate hot and cold sections. This is perfect for my kids because I often send them to school with a “hot” lunch.

  1. Ice Pack - fits perfectly in the double-compartment lunch bag

Or these little cuties - because these are just fun and adorable

  1. Water Bottle - I can’t say enough good things about this bottle. It stays cold for hours and doesn’t leak.

For big kids - This one is my personal favorite. Cold for hours, but my favorite part is the two sipping options. The front spout is connected to s tray for easy drinking. The larger spout allows for a heavier pour.

  1. Native Shoe knockoff at half the price - a great option for Crocs. Looks great with everything, and they can wear during the warmer days, even on a gym day!

  1. Lightweight Jacket for those chilly Fall mornings - Easy to wash and dry. Heavy enough to wear on those mild winter days as well.

Lightweight Water-Resistant Jacket - a great raincoat option.

  1. Lunch Notes - such a cute idea. My kids love the notes in their lunches, but some mornings you don’t have the time.

  1. Thermos - I swear by this for keeping pasta hot until lunch! Pro tip - use the boiling water to pour into your thermos and heat it for about 2 min, then pour out the warm and toss in your hot pasta.

  1. First-Day Bracelets - For the mom and child that need that extra reminder throughout the day.

  1. Bedtime Book - a great read the night before the first day. It helps to calm the worries.

Wishing your kiddos a great first day of school!

All the best,
